Numeric urine total-protein PCR v1: uPCR (mg/g) = urine total protein (mg/L) / urine creatinine (g/L); uPCR (mg/mmol) = urine total protein (mg/L) / urine creatinine (mmol/L), with 1 mg/dL total protein = 10 mg/L and a creatinine molar mass of 113.12 mg/mmol (1 mg/dL creatinine = 10/113.12 mmol/L); this is total-protein PCR, not urine albumin or uACR

Population

Quantitative urine total protein and urine creatinine concentrations obtained from the same urine specimen with verified assay identities, analytes, and units. KDIGO 2024 prefers a first-morning midstream specimen; a correctly identified and documented random urine specimen may be used when a first-morning specimen is unavailable.

Limites et exclusions

Any proteinuria category, cutoff, threshold, CKD diagnosis or confirmation, prognosis or risk estimation, treatment, or management decision. · Mismatched urine specimens, total protein and creatinine measurements from different collections, an undocumented specimen type, or unverified specimen identity. · Mismatched analytes or units; nonquantitative or invalid assays; substitution of urine albumin for urine total protein, uACR for uPCR, serum creatinine for urine creatinine, a semiquantitative reagent-strip category, or a timed protein-excretion result for the spot ratio.
