- Preterm corrected chronological age exact-day arithmetic v1 with a 40-week reference: gestational age at birth days = 7 × completed gestational weeks + additional days; prematurity correction days = 280 - gestational age at birth days; postmenstrual age days = gestational age at birth days + chronological age since birth days; corrected chronological age days = chronological age days - prematurity correction days = postmenstrual age days - 280; negative corrected-age values before the 40+0 reference are retained rather than clamped; chronological age accepts exact total days or completed weeks plus additional days

- A documented preterm infant born before 37 weeks 0 days, using the same infant's documented gestational age at birth in completed weeks plus 0–6 additional days and exact chronological age since birth at one defined observation. Gestational age must come from the source record rather than this calculator. V1 accepts gestational age from 20+0 through 36+6 and chronological age from 0 through 730 exact days as broad product data-entry limits; these are not viability, maturity, developmental, or universal correction thresholds.
- Limites et exclusions
- Pregnancy dating, estimated-due-date calculation, or inference, estimation, or revision of gestational age from birthweight, physical appearance, menstrual dates, ultrasound, assisted-reproduction dates, or another proxy. · Rounded calendar months, incomplete day components, another infant's record, mismatched observations, inferred ages or units, a birth at or after 37+0, gestational age outside the disclosed 20+0 to 36+6 product guardrail, or chronological age outside the disclosed 0–730-day product guardrail. · Calling postmenstrual age or corrected chronological age ‘corrected gestational age,’ treating the 40-week arithmetic reference as an obstetric term-category definition, or selecting which age another clinical protocol should use. · Any assessment or interpretation of development, growth, maturity, prognosis, diagnosis, disability or benefit eligibility, vaccination, screening, feeding, medication dosing, treatment, management, or other clinical decision; the SSA and CDC policy contexts are not adopted by this arithmetic page.
