- Hoster et al. corrected continuous original 2008 Mantle Cell Lymphoma International Prognostic Index (MIPI), engine original-continuous-mipi-2008-erratum-corrected-v1: raw MIPI = 0.03535 × age at first diagnosis in years + 0.6978 when externally recorded ECOG performance status >1 (ECOG 2-4; otherwise 0) + 1.367 × log10(serum total LDH / same issuing report local ULN) + 0.9393 × log10(total peripheral-blood WBC in cells/µL). Both logarithms are base 10. Age is a finite decimal number of years at first diagnosis with the workflow guard age >=18, and ECOG is the externally recorded integer 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4. A verified total peripheral-blood WBC entered in 10^9/L is multiplied by exactly 1000 to cells/µL before log10; the entered 10^9/L numeric is never inserted directly into the corrected WBC logarithm. Serum total LDH and its same-report local ULN are fixed to U/L and must retain exact analyte, reference-limit, report, assay-context, and unit identities. Exact ECOG 0 or 1 contributes 0; ECOG 2, 3, or 4 contributes 0.6978; LDH equal to its ULN gives log10(1) = 0. All four verified values from one complete contemporaneous pretreatment baseline are required. Output is limited to the raw full-precision JavaScript score, four individual terms, normalized ratio and log10 values, and entered-value audit without clamping, rounding, truncation, or a separate display value; no group, cutoff, category, outcome estimate, survival or mortality estimate, probability, individual prognosis, diagnosis, treatment, disposition, monitoring, recommendation, management, or care decision is supplied.
- Population
- Original source cohort: 455 treatment-naive patients with centrally reviewed mantle cell lymphoma, Ann Arbor stage III/IV, and selection as fit for moderate-intensity chemotherapy, enrolled in GLSG1996, GLSG2000, or European MCL Trial 1 from May 1996 through October 2004. The final multivariable model and source cutpoints used 409 complete cases. This v1 workflow requires an adult at specialist-confirmed first mantle cell lymphoma diagnosis, newly diagnosed and treatment-naive, with age, externally recorded ECOG 0-4, serum total LDH and its same-report local ULN, and total peripheral-blood WBC from one complete contemporaneous pretreatment baseline. Original advanced-stage source applicability or explicit specialist transport acceptance is required, and historical trial-treatment and current-era transport must be explicitly acknowledged.
- Limites et exclusions
- Use to establish, confirm, exclude, or classify mantle cell lymphoma; pediatric use; relapse or refractory disease; post-treatment reassessment; or use outside the original newly diagnosed, treatment-naive, advanced-stage, moderate-intensity-chemotherapy source context without independent specialist transport acceptance. · Missing, unknown, inferred, imputed, defaulted, carried-forward, incomplete, mixed-timepoint, later, or post-treatment values; an app-inferred ECOG grade; conversion from Karnofsky or another performance scale; age, ECOG, LDH, ULN, or WBC from different assessments; or an unverified timing, source, report, assay context, analyte, specimen, reference limit, or unit identity. · Non-total or non-serum LDH; LDH without the same issuing report's local ULN; a universal absolute LDH threshold; an LDH ratio entered in place of source measurements; LDH and ULN from different reports, assay contexts, or units; unsupported or converted LDH units; non-total or non-peripheral-blood WBC; unsupported WBC units; cells/µL entered into the fixed 10^9/L field; direct use of the entered 10^9/L WBC numeric inside log10 without the exact ×1000 normalization; or rounded, truncated, clamped, or display-formatted arithmetic. · Simplified MIPI; biologic MIPI or MIPI-b; combined MIPI or MIPI-c; Ki-67, genetic, molecular, revised, secondary, or BTKi-MIPI variants; source-defined group cutoffs; any group, risk adjective, survival or mortality estimate, probability, individual prognosis, diagnostic conclusion, treatment, disposition, monitoring, recommendation, management, or care decision.
